i've been cooking more. today felt like a meringue kind of day, something i remember my abuela making all the time when i was younger.



my sister made chocolate covered strawberries, which i have been craving for at least a week.

tomorrow i'm spending downtown museum hopping & enjoying the weather. i'm sure there will be a disgusting amount of photos to follow.

last night i spent at my parents' house, watching tv & baking. my sister made my favorite cookies and andy took photos of me.

for someone who calls herself a photographer, i've done a pretty awful job of keeping up with that title. i've been taking pictures regularly since age ten, but in the past year photobooth has really been the only means of photographic expression i've found time for - which is kind of pathetic. not to say i've been purposely ignoring photography, but with the seemingly endless amounts of readings and writings for my first year of graduate school, things have been kind of hectic.

now that the weather is getting warmer and a new camera has found its way into my life, my goal is to try to work photography back into my days and nights and post some of the results here so that i am accountable to something.
